The original four Darb gates sit on bridges entering Abu Dhabi island: Al Maqta, Rabdan (Mussafah Bridge), Sas Al Nakhl (Sheikh Zayed Bridge), and Al Saadiyat (Sheikh Khalifa Bridge). These charge only during morning and evening peak hours on weekdays. Sundays and public holidays are free on these gates.
Al Qurm and Ghantoot are a different class. Both opened on 4 May 2026 and charge AED 4.00 every crossing, every hour, every day — no free windows, no Sunday exemption. Ghantoot sits on the E11 near the Dubai–Abu Dhabi border, which means there is now no toll-free time window for any crossing between the two cities.
Abu Dhabi Mobility removed the Darb daily cap on 1 September 2025. Before that date, charges were capped regardless of how many crossings you made in a day. That cap no longer exists — each crossing is billed individually at AED 4.00.
The four legacy bridge gates charge Monday–Saturday during two windows: 07:00-09:00 and 15:00-19:00. Crossings outside those windows on weekdays are free. All crossings on Sundays and public holidays are free on these gates.
The Khalifa City → Corniche route crosses one legacy Darb gate. Switch to the Dubai → Abu Dhabi route to see the always-on Ghantoot charge.
