01Why now

Driving costs changed four times in 18 months. Did your budget?

  1. Jan 2025 Salik went variable: AED 6 peak, AED 4 off-peak.
  2. Sep 2025 Abu Dhabi removed the Darb daily cap. Every crossing now counts.
  3. May 2026 Two new Darb gates charge 24/7, including the E11 near the Dubai border.
  4. Jun 2026 5% VAT added to every Salik crossing: AED 6.30 peak.

No map app prices this correctly. Tarif exists because we got tired of being surprised too.

02How it works

Three steps. No spreadsheet.

  1. Pick your route

Navigation stays in Google Maps. Tarif prices what Maps can't.

  2. See the full cost

Every gate, every dirham of fuel — at the time you'll actually drive.

  3. Drive smarter

Shift your departure, change a route, watch the monthly total fall.

03Forecast & budget

Your commute has a monthly bill. See it before it arrives.

Tarif projects your tolls and fuel across the month — by route, by habit — so the Salik statement is never a surprise again.

Your routes are your business. No data sold, ever.

Cost calculations use official published rates.

04Questions

Straight answers

How much is Salik in 2026?

AED 6.30 per crossing at peak (6–10am and 4–8pm) and AED 4.20 off-peak, including the 5% VAT added in June 2026. Crossings are free between 1 and 6am. Sundays are a flat AED 4.20 all day.

What does Dubai to Abu Dhabi cost in tolls?

It depends on the time and route — typically Salik gate(s) leaving Dubai, the new 24/7 Ghantoot Darb gate on the E11, and Abu Dhabi bridge gates at peak. The estimator above shows the full figure live, fuel included.

Does Google Maps show toll prices in the UAE?

Not accurately for Salik and Darb variable pricing combined with fuel. Tarif prices the whole drive — every gate at the rate for your departure time, plus fuel — and leaves the navigation to Google Maps.

Is Tarif free?

Yes — Tarif will be free to download at launch.
